Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Mav Ads collects on mavads.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to reach us about it. We have written it in plain language on purpose.

Mav Ads is a performance marketing agency based in St. Petersburg, Florida. You can reach us any time at vitaliy@mavads.com.

Information you give us

When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message, plus your phone number, company, and the services you are interested in if you choose to provide them. We use this only to respond to you and to follow up about working together.

Form submissions are sent to our customer relationship management system, GoHighLevel, where they are stored as a contact record. We do not sell this information, and we do not share it with anyone outside the vendors listed below.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site or search that referred you.

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site, and Vercel Web Analytics, which measures traffic without cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart from new ones. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works normally either way.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the vendors that run our site and our business, and only so they can provide their service to us. Those are Vercel for hosting, Google for analytics and fonts, and GoHighLevel for our CRM and email. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Data from connected Google accounts is handled as described in Google user data in Mav Tools below.

We do not sell personal information, and we never have.

Google user data in Mav Tools

Mav Tools is the private application Mav Ads uses to manage client advertising and search visibility. It is not open to the public. It connects to a Google account only after the account holder signs in with Google and grants permission. The account holder may be a Mav Ads team member or a client who chooses to connect their own account.

What we access

Depending on what the account holder grants, Mav Tools uses these Google permissions:

• Google Ads (read and write): campaign, keyword, search term and conversion data, so we can report on the account and recommend changes. Mav Tools applies a change, such as adding a negative keyword or adjusting a budget, only after a person on the Mav Ads team has approved it.
• Google Analytics (read only): report data, used to count the visits a client's website receives from AI assistants.
• Search Console (read only): search performance data for the pages a client asks us to track.

We also receive the Google account's email address to show which account is connected.

How we use it

Data from a connected Google account is used only to provide and improve the features the account holder, or the client they connected it for, uses in Mav Tools. That includes reports shared with that client. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to build profiles of anyone. People at Mav Ads read it only to deliver the service, for security, or when the law requires it.

AI processing

Some Mav Tools features use Anthropic's Claude model to analyze Google Ads data for the account holder: explaining a change in an account's performance, and suggesting keywords to track from the account's search terms. Only the data needed for that feature is sent, only when a Mav Ads team member runs the feature, and under Anthropic's commercial terms, which do not permit Anthropic to train its models on it. No Google Analytics or Search Console data is sent to any AI provider. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train any generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning model.

How we protect it

• All data moves between your browser, our servers, Google and our service providers over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
• The credentials Google issues when you connect (the refresh and access tokens) are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored, and the key that decrypts them is held separately, in our hosting provider's secured configuration. Tokens are never sent to your browser and never written to our logs.
• Stored data lives in a managed database that encrypts data at rest.
• Only signed-in Mav Ads team members can reach Mav Tools. Access is role-based: team members see only the accounts and clients assigned to them, and only the account owner can connect or disconnect a Google account.
• Client report links show only that client's own results, behind a unique link.

Service providers

We share Google user data only with the providers that run Mav Tools for us, only as needed to provide it, and under their obligations to protect it: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Inngest (scheduled background jobs), Clerk (sign-in for our team), Resend (operational alert emails to our team), and Anthropic (the AI processing described above). We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting it

We keep data from a connected account while the connection is in use for the client. Disconnecting an account in Mav Tools erases the stored Google credentials right away and cancels Mav Tools' access at Google. If the same Google account also powers another Mav Tools connection, Google access ends when the last of them is disconnected. You can also remove Mav Tools' access yourself at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; once access ends, we can no longer read anything new from the account. To have us erase the data we collected from your Google account, email vitaliy@mavads.com. We will delete it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Limited Use

Mav Tools' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Client data

When we run advertising, analytics, or websites for a client, we handle that client's data on their instructions and under our agreement with them. That work is governed by the client's own privacy policy, not this one.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries for as long as we may reasonably need them for the business relationship, and analytics data for the retention period set in the analytics product. Ask us to delete your information and we will, unless we are required to keep it. Google user data follows the retention and deletion terms in Google user data in Mav Tools.

Your choices

Email us at vitaliy@mavads.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to these things. We honor the request either way, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

This site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes will be noted here.
